The Michigan State Spartans Football team will kickoff their season on September 4th, against Western Michigan in East Lansing.  After going 6-7 last year, Michigan State will look to rebound this year and contend for the Big 10 title.  The Spartans will have 7 home games and 5 away games.  The Spartans had a 4-4 record last year in the Big 10 and will look to improve on that mark. The Michigan State Spartan Football team will have some key returners while also bringing in some highly regarded recruits. 

Michigan State Spartans Schedule 

Four of the first five games will be at home for Michigan State which includes a three game home stretch against Notre Dame, Northern Colorado, and Wisconsin.  The homecoming game will be pitted against the Fighting Illini from Illinois on October 16th.  After visits to Iowa and Northwestern, Michigan State will wrap up their home schedule against Minnesota and Purdue.  Minnesota will be in town November 6th, while Purdue will arrive November 20th.
